The Future Planning Workgroup is focused on ways to make affordable, high-quality futures planning available to all families in Wisconsin who need it.

The Arc’s Future Planning Webinar Series: August 2021


Project Overview:

  • The Arc Wisconsin and The Arc’s national office have partnered to offer a free 2-part webinar series targeted at rural families with loved ones with disabilities in Wisconsin. The webinar series offers free resources from The Arc’s national office on evidence-based future planning resources and guidance, along with a Wisconsin special needs planning attorney to help these families with some initial steps and tools.

Webinar Dates/Topics:

  • Tuesday, August 17 from 10-11:15 am – part 1 of the webinar series will provide an overview on future planning include The Arc’s free resources. Liz Mahar from The Arc’s national office will present.
  • Tuesday, August 24 from 10-11:15 am – part 2 of the webinar series will cover financial planning and briefly cover farm succession as part of the plan. Meghan Teigen from Johnson Teigen law firm will present.


Target Audience: Rural families that include a person with an intellectual and/or developmental disability (IDD) in Wisconsin. All ages of the person with IDD and/or caregivers apply.
