DESCRIPTION OF WORKGROUP: The Relative Caregiver Program Workgroup consists of individuals who serve and advocate for relative caregivers or are relative caregivers themselves.
THE GOAL: Increase awareness and access to available resources for Relative Caregivers.
2022 Workplan Key Activity: Create and implement a campaign to increase recognition of relative caregivers, provide local and statewide resources, and promote virtual presentations for relative caregivers and professionals who serve them.
We plan to host quarterly virtual events, for the public, by subject matter experts in areas that can help relative caregivers. Events will focus on awareness, education, and resources. Workgroup members are expected to help disseminate pertinent marketing materials to increase attendance.
The workgroup meets monthly on the 3rd Monday from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm via Zoom. The meetings consist of:
- Learning about each other's programs, agencies, or connections to relative caregiving,
- Sharing upcoming events or opportunities that apply to relative caregiving,
- Creative brainstorming on meeting the group's goals of increasing awareness, education, and resources.
