Livestrong at the YMCA

Our ongoing conversations with cancer survivors told us that a top concern among survivors is the difficulty of returning to physical activity after treatment. We wanted to change that.

In 2007, we partnered with the YMCA of the USA to create Livestrong at the YMCA, which is a 12-week physical activity program designed to get survivors back on their feet.

Road to Recovery®

Every day thousands of cancer patients need a ride to treatment, but some may not have a way to get there.

The American Cancer Society Road to Recovery® program provides transportation to and from treatment for people with cancer who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves.

An online community that provides professional programs of emotional support, education, and hope at no cost to people impacted by cancer so that no one faces cancer alone.

 

4th Angel Mentoring Support 

The Cleveland Clinic 4th Angel Mentoring Program is an innovative, interactive approach to cancer support in which patients and caregivers are matched with trained volunteer mentors with similar age and cancer experiences.

The program is a national, free service that emphasizes one-on-one contact to best empower caregivers and patients with knowledge, awareness, hope and a helping hand.
